I loved Emmett’s street photography class. He tailored the session to my goals—improving composition and observation for wedding photography and street portraiture. Real-time critique from a pro was invaluable. I gained skills that will boost my wedding work and confirmed my passion for street portraits. Emmett is a great teacher and a genuinely nice bloke; the pint at the end was a perfect wrap-up. I had a fantastic time.

“I booked this on a bit of a whim and it completely changed how I shoot. I came away with photos I’m genuinely proud of and, more importantly, the confidence to keep going on my own.”

I had a great day out with Emmett! At the beginning of the day, I was a DSLR novice, but by the end I felt like an expert. Emmett showed me how to use the settings on my camera for different light conditions and effects. We then explored the Northern Quarter, taking photos of interesting spots. Emmett helped to build my confidence in taking candid shots of people in public and I'm really pleased with the photos I've taken. I would highly recommend his workshops.

“Really well structured and hands-on. No fluff, just straight into shooting with guidance as you go. The small group made a big difference too—loads of personal feedback.”

I thoroughly enjoyed Emmett's street photography workshop! I was a complete beginner when I signed up and the first workshop really inspired me to learn more and continue with street photography. Emmett is very experienced, knowledgeable and enthusiastic and has really helped me to grow in confidence and become a better photographer. He encouraged me to get over the fear of taking images of people on the street and has also helped me with post-production. Emmett makes his workshops fun and has a great sense of humour. I would highly recommend his workshops to photographers at any level who want to learn more about street photography.

I attended an Emmett Hunt photography workshop in Central Manchester — a one-to-one session. Emmett was friendly, personable and an excellent teacher. As a relative beginner, I felt supported. Emmett came prepared, shared influential photographers’ work, and tailored the day to my goals. We focused on street photography and camera settings (mode, ISO, aperture, shutter speed) and I improved noticeably at shooting on the move and in varied light. I gained confidence with my Fujifilm X-T100 and enjoyed the easy conversation throughout a long walk around Manchester city centre. I’d recommend Emmett’s workshop for street/lifestyle photography and may book a refresher.

“I’d always been too nervous to approach people, but within the first hour I’d already taken a few portraits. The way everything was broken down made it feel really doable. Easily the most useful photography workshop I’ve done.”ion goes here
